Description

CropDiagnosis offers an integrated approach to the management of pests and pathogens. The app allows farmers to check the health status of their crops, choose the most effective products for crop health and care, and receive personalized instructions for their application.

How it works?

The user is first encouraged to include some basic information on cultivation (species, growth phase, soil, etc.), while the app automatically detects the geographic location and receives time information. Next, the farmer is invited to respond to a smart questionnaire when the app proposes a picture diagnostic.

Based on the diagnosis, the application lists the appropriate substances to address the problem, providing additional information (application methods, mode of action, hazard warning signs, price, etc.) for each substance. Finally, CropDiagnosis provides detailed instructions for the use of selected products (preparation, dosage, precautions, etc.).

The CropDiagnosis agricultural database contains open and coded data with:

• Different types of crops;

• Pathogens;

• Signs and symptoms of plant diseases;

• A list of existing active substances used as plant protection products and their technical characteristics.

The application, designed and developed by Ergobyte Informatics SA, based in Thessaloniki, Greece, is available on Google Play.
