Multi Tool Trac is the first electric tractor, which has a complete electric powertrain built with reliable components, a unique on-the-fly track width adjustment, five positions for all common tools and agricultural equipment.

Large machines have assisted farmers for decades with arable farming however, large machines also cause soil compaction at the cost of both quantity and quality of yields. Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) is a viable solution to this particular problem as CTF allows the farmer to control the width of the tracks to avoid soil compaction.

Multi Tool Trac gives the farmer the range to adjust the track gauge from anywhere between 2.25 meters – 3.20 meters. The option to narrow the gauge is very useful for farmers as a narrower gauge is required for safety on public roads. Multi Tool Trac’s solution is a unique – on the fly – adjustable gauge system.

The second requirement is a long wheelbase to fit all the equipment in between the front and rear wheels. This results in creating remarkable visibility for the driver on the laboured crop as well as stabilising the machine.

Additionally, Multi Tool Trac opted for an electric powertrain. The electric motors provide high torque, perfect for traction, and high precision driving. Electric power is made for traction and current trends show that in the future tractors will become electric. Many famers have started already by investing in solar power and wind energy.

The first prototype of Multi Tool Trac was built in 2015 and since then it has been tested on numerous occasions. Based on these results further tests had been made in 2016 and again in 2017 with a completed model to be expected by 2019.
